I am SO blessed to be able to capture these moments, especially for those where I am able to photograph engagements, weddings, pregnancy, new babies and celebrating years of marriage! The Anderson family is just one of the families I have been a bystander to document those ever changing life events!!
When my friend Jenny told me that she wanted their old truck in a family session, I was all over it!! Knowing that we HAD to make it happen, we squeezed in an afternoon session and the results were incredible!! It gave me many more ideas on using this truck for future shoots… now to just get her husband to drive it to these locations….
Happy Spring!! In less than a month flowers will be blooming, the grass will be green, and we will have long forgotten winter’s blustery days!
I always look forward to these Short and Sweet sessions! After doing it for a number of years, it is always great to see past clients again and see how their families are changing and growing. This year I have added a session at Elm Creek Park and am bringing along vintage props! We got your name via my sister, Lindsey (Van Arman) Straub and Lindsay Halvorson. Would love to book one of your mini sesions for Sunday, May 19th at Elm Creek. I have 3 boys – age 5, age 4 and 6 months (in May). This would be a good chance for us to try and get a few shots of the boys together and the baby to mark the 6 month mark. He may be sitting up by then – or pretty close with a little prop behind him. Let us know what times are still available for that date and where we need to send payment to secure a timeslot.

My job comes with a variety of different subjects and places! This past August I was able to photograph the elders/ pastors at the church I am a part of (my husband being on e of them!) These men are true followers of Christ and I am so blessed to be a part of a church that carries out the Word of God to the community and to the world.
She is a wonderful assistant and friend, and I am thankful to say that we have worked together for 4 years. I was glad to have a break in my short and sweet sessions and do a solo portrait session for her!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
