closeI love seeing the Larson family! They all came bounding in all their cuteness into the North East Minneapolis studio for their mini session this November. The boys are such good listeners and we all had a blast while photographing in the midst of playing!
The Diehl family got the most incredible evening for photos! The sun was glowing and so warm over the fall landscape of the park in Maple Grove. They were up for walking and doing whatever I asked. What a joy it was to see this wonderful family again!
When Celeste e-mailed me asking if I was available for a fall engagement session in Northeast Minneapolis, I couldn’t say no! She and Brandon will be married in Pennsylvania, where Celeste is from, this summer, but they wanted to capture Minneapolis and who they are here.
We choose Boom Island Park and Indeed Brewery in Minneapolis for their locations. A brisk fall evening welcomed us along with the hughes of the season.
We started at Indeed and walked around the urban area for a while finding great white and black walls along with the perfect receiving doc for photos (anyone up for a wedding here?!)
We then made our way to the beautiful Boom Island Park where they brought out their pooch and we were able to capture the beautiful Minneapolis skyline!
Congratulations Celeste and Brandon, I know your day will be spectacular!
There is not better way for me to curb the baby fever that I get pretty much once every quarter (and of course now my teenage kids have that fever!) then doing a newborn session.
Sweet Dominic was good at being that medicine I needed. He was such a good baby, sleeping his way through the session and his big sister’s snuggles and loving on him.

Watching families grow is one of the sweetest joys I have in my work. I shot Caeli and Nick’s engagement session, wedding, and their family as they have grown through the years. I just LOVE them and watching them be incredible parents.
They came to the studio for a mini session together and in between the laughs ( and some tears!) we got in some fun moments of sweet authenticity!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
