Minneapolis Rose Garden Engagement Session:: Tyler & Stacy

Their paths had most likely crossed dozens of times through mutual friends at Kansas University, but for some reason the night at Brother’s was different.  Tyler and Stacy we suddenly face to face with one another and hitting it off as they discussed (at length!) their mutually shared love for Harry Potter, the great outdoors, and of course, KU!

The mutual respect and love that these two share makes me so excited to spend their August day outdoors with them!!

    Calhoun Beach Club Wedding:: Paul & Anna

    He couldn’t help but stare and stammer, maybe just a little, as the sea of ginger curls came strolling out of the church service.  Nick called his sweet younger sister, Anna, over to his side as he introduced her to college friends, including Paul.  Paul was smitten with Nick’s sister and after conversations with friends, got her number and left her a message asking Anna on a date.

    Paul’s chivalrous acts of opening every door for Anna, complimenting her, and his genuine interest in her had her just as hooked on him and that date was the beginning of the three years the two have been together.

    After moving nine times across three states, Paul was ready to tie the knot and with the help of two of Anna’s best friends, he set up flowers and candles by the lake in Chicago where the two had one of their first dates.  Getting down on one knee, with roses in hand, Paul asked Anna to spend the rest of his life with her. She cried a beautiful yes and the two drove back home to celebrate with family and friends!

      Minneapolis Family:: Sharbono

      One thing I absolutely LOVE about my job is seeing the same people year after year.  I have been so lucky to have been photographing the Sharbono’s since their oldest was a year old.  Seeing families grow and change is such a perk of the job, while I feel like I am not aging (an neither are the parents!) the kids just seem to keep getting older and sweeter; the Sharbono’s are no exception!

          Lake Calhoun Engagement Session:: Brooke & Sam

          Call me maybe.

          It was the theme song for the weekend when Brooke and her bestie Kirsten were up at Kirsten’s family’s cabin.  While relaxing one evening, the girls were startled when they heard a car rumble into the driveway, filled with Sam and some friends from high school who had decided at random to stop by the family’s cabin on the way back from their guys only fishing trip.

          Brooke remembered some of the guys from her graduating class, but not Sam, who had gone to the same high school and had a huge crush on her then.  Years later as the two chatted though out the day, feelings were uncovered yet again.

          At the end of the evening as the guys were leaving, Brooke wrote her name, number and “call me maybe” on the sheet of paper.  Sam followed up that evening and the two have been inseparable ever since!

          As the rain poured down during their engagement session, the two laughed and made the most of the situation!  I simply can not wait to share the day with these two amazing people!
