closeWater, walks, and ice cream are some of the things that brought this sweet fourth grade teacher and soon to be doctor together. So of course blending all three for Jackson and Jordan there was no other place we could think of than downtown Excelsior and Licks. Wandering down the quaint streets while getting to know these two even better was so much fun for me. I am looking forward to spending a November day with them soon!!
The two met at church camp when they were in their teens, Mikayla from South Dakota and Gabe from southern Minnesota. Crushing on each other the two hit off a relationship that maybe would have lasted that week at camp, but in God’s great design, the two, even at a young age, were destined for one another.
Numerous texts, Facebook messages and phone calls followed these two through their extensive dating relationship and being five to ten hours apart. Finally in his junior year, Gabe was able to transfer to the same college Mikayla was at.
Meeting in the city on a blustery day, I was able to see these two in how much they truly love and care for one another!!
Moving back to Minnesota from Michigan was something Steve was looking into, but it didn’t become serious until he met (er, re-met) Gina. They were seated next to each other at a birthday party for mutual friends and realized that they were the only two people at the party that were single. This mixed in with the fact that they had gone to the same high- school, but never really met each other made for great conversation.
At the end of the night Steve asked for Gina’s number and the two immediately began a friendship that blossomed into an amazing relationship.
Spending a gorgeous evening with this couple made me realize how the complete one another and I am so looking forward to spending their November day with them!!

Their paths had most likely crossed dozens of times through mutual friends at Kansas University, but for some reason the night at Brother’s was different. Tyler and Stacy we suddenly face to face with one another and hitting it off as they discussed (at length!) their mutually shared love for Harry Potter, the great outdoors, and of course, KU!
The mutual respect and love that these two share makes me so excited to spend their August day outdoors with them!!
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
