In the midst of the chilling cold, there are plenty of photos to be had, but I am craving the warmth of summer and this family embodies the fullness of a Minnesota summer day. The lake, a festival, and a warm summer breeze only added to the fun I had with the Childs family!
I am such a sucker for little boys, and these little guys steal my heart every time! Now that their sweet sister has come in to the picture, I am drooling over her as well! I have been photographing Katie and Troy and their kids for almost 4 years now, and each and every time it is an honor and a blessing. This time around was no different. Here are a few from the new studio and as you can see, we were all loving it!!

I love seeing the Jensen’s and when I heard Shannon was expecting her 2nd, I have to say I was thrilled for not only her, but for her sweet daughter!!
Sweet Emily arrived before Christmas which proved for a perfect time for family photos!
What a year it was! So great to see so many familiar faces and meet new one’s! Next week I will take a look back at some of my favorite moments of the 2013 year and let you know what is in store for 2014! Enjoy your first full weekend of the 2014 year, I will be starting it off with a bang as I shoot two amazing winter weddings!!
It was a day where the sun was shining, but the air was crisp and cold, and nothing less than FREEZING. Nothing would stop one of my favorite families from getting their family session done in the snow. That’s what makes us true Minnesotans, and I love photographing these families!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
