We hiked up and down the aisles of Home Depot looking for tomato plants, basel plants, bean and pea seeds and a big ol’ bag of dirt! Upon putting soil and seeds into the pots, I had no idea if our potted garden would work. Coming from a long line of wanna be farmers my mom taught me the dedication of planing seeds, watering them, watching them grow, and of course harvesting them! It always brought me a sense of accomplishment when we sat at the dinner table eating the green beans my sisters and I helped plant! I wanted to bring that sense of accomplishment to my kids and they got it last week! Our tomatoes had become red, the plants flowered and beans were waiting to be picked. So I set the girls loose and the rest went straight to our belly’s!
