Justine’s maternity session was one of those perfect Minnesota spring evenings that makes you slow down and take it all in.
With baby number two due at the end of June, we spent this session celebrating both this new little life on the way and a very special milestone her son turning one. It was the sweetest way to honor this in-between season of life: one baby just beginning to explore the world, and another still growing safely under mom’s heart.
We couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop. Spring blooms were out in full force at the iconic rose gardens, giving us soft color, texture, and that dreamy early-season glow. The session took place at Lake Harriet Rose Garden within Lyndale Park, one of the most beautiful locations in Minneapolis for maternity and family photography. Every corner felt like it was made for this season of life fresh, full, and full of anticipation.
Between wandering the gardens and soaking in the blooms, we also paused to celebrate her little boy turning one. Those simple, in-between moments snuggles, giggles, and holding on just a little tighter ended up being some of the most meaningful images from the entire session.
Justine’s maternity session was a beautiful reminder of why I love documenting families year after year. These are the chapters that go by so quickly, yet mean everything.
