Seeing old friends makes my heart happy. Kirstjen, Josh and their adorable kids (you may remember Shane and Elise’s ye-haw good-bye from last year) hold a special place in our hearts. After traveling on a mission trip together almost 12 years ago with Kirstjen, then photographing her wedding, participating in Bible studies and mom’s groups with her, and watching our husbands crack jokes with each other; I am grateful to say that we are still connected even though they are living in Texas (and trying to convince us to move down there….). Our cool MN night consisted of a family session followed by grilling, watching our kids play together and ice cream to follow. No matter how early we start our evenings with the Pratts, we never end up closing them down before 9pm, even with little ones in tow. They are truly a blessing to us and maybe after another long winter in MN, we may reconsider Texas….
