    McAlpine Family

This is one of my very favorite sessions from the fall.  Everything just seemed to fall into place for the day.  A new location, the lighting of the sun, the colors of the outfits, the props that they incorporated and over all, a wonderful beautiful story of a beautiful family becoming five.

You may remember Clint and Amanda’s story from a homecoming post I did back in August (see here to refresh).  But their story of adoption is one that brings my heart to sing for joy of the wonders that can be done when God is at work.  Throughout many highs and lows, lots of tears, and prayer these two beautiful children entered the McAlpine Family.  I am overjoyed to call this family friends.  (Check out Amanda’s blog HERE, you may be riveted by her amazing eye for crafty-ness and tasty healthy treats! )

PS.. I think this is the most photos that I have blogged in a looong time!

      Brooklyn- 2 weeks

It is the week of babies!  Shannon and Keith welcomed Brooklyn into their lives in October.  I was so fortunate to be able to capture her teenyness and dainty features.  She is adorable!!

        Amy, Jeff and Caleigh

She is perfect.  Perfect fingers.  Perfect toes.  Perfect nose.  Perfect.  It never ceases to amaze me to photograph babies.  I love their teenyness and their beautiful perfectness.  Caleigh was no exception.  She is perfect.

Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work in understanding what I wasn’t good at before understanding what I was good at. I failed a lot in the process.

We often only see the good things and success stories on social media, but getting to the point where we are confident in ourselves and our work takes time and lots of failures. Trust me. 25 years and still working at it!!
