Klingen Family

Shannon and Keith are some of my favorite clients to see!  Their wedding is one that I will always remember, not only because it poured the entire day, but because I was in New York City.  When they moved to Minneapolis for Keith to attend school and had their first child, I was thrilled to photograph her.  This fall their little girl, Brooklyn, turned one, I was so to see them again and see how she had changed.  What a great fall day we had for our shoot and she was a gem throughout the entire time!

Karen! Very nice pics of some favorite people of mine! YAY, YOU! Thanks for posting these; I hadn’t seen them before.
    Think of you often!
Memories of Shannon and Keith’s wedding will never be forgotten…how about having to sleep on the floor of the recreation room of the retirement “resort”!!! The venue of the reception was spectacular! I didn’t know of the “storm” outdoors until we were leaving that night or that the power in the reception had gone out and we were on emergency light! Ha! I thought it was “mood” lighting! That caterer who was assigned to me for the duration did well to keep the wine flowing! HA!

Clint and Amanda are extraordinary people.  Really truly amazing people.  They are the kind of people you want in your life, you know, those that can encourage you in rough times, know what true sadness is, and what pure joyful laughter from the gut does to a soul.

And so are their kids.

I LOVE photographing their family and watching them grow.  From our last session in the spring, and even from a year ago, I was amazed to see how their kids have matured.  In August, their family celebrated a year of being together, through the ups and downs of adoption, joys and struggles, this family is unified.  As we stood under the outside sign of the Walker, Amanda commented ” bits and pieces put together to make a semblance of a whole….that is our family.”  I am privileged to call Amanda a true friend, and I love her to pieces.

It was one of the last, really nice days of fall here in Minnesota.  The weather was warm and perfect for this sweet little one year old.  She even showed us her stuff as she strutted through the leaves.  I can’t believe how much she has grown since the last time I saw her.  What a sweetie!

Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work in understanding what I wasn’t good at before understanding what I was good at. I failed a lot in the process.
.
We often only see the good things and success stories on social media, but getting to the point where we are confident in ourselves and our work takes time and lots of failures. Trust me. 25 years and still working at it!!
