The Borardman family

In the fall I was asked by a wonderful organization, New Life family Services (Web-site Here), to be a part of a silent auction they were holding for their Rochester location.  Maggie and her family were the winners.  She waited until this past week to “redeem” her photo session because she wanted photos of her newest addition, Ben.  We met up at the James J Hill library (Web-site Here) and found many nooks and crannies to shoot in.  Her oldest Tommy, started the session as being a shy guy, but about half way through warmed up to the camera and was hamming it up!  It was a wonderful way to spend my morning and afterword I thought about the wonderful opportunity to photograph the newest life that had been give to the Boardmans.

***As a side note, this organization is near and dear to my heart as my best friend, and many others, have adopted their wonderful children through New Life.  I love the work that they are doing and praise God for them.

i came across your website through Erin Olson’s (who I’m just getting to know as we are in a small group at church together) facebook page. I used to work at New Life Family Services and also just LOVE what that organization does. Your photos are beautiful!

When Andrea found out about the Feb promo, she called me explaining that she was going to be surprising her sister in law who would be in town for less than 24 hours with a surprise session.  I was all for it!  We set up a session at a specialty toy store in  St. Louis Park and got some phenomenal photos.  The bold colors along with the fabulous lighting was a dream to shoot in and these two were lovin each other up!

I LOVE these photos of Lucy.  She was just getting out of nap mode, here’s the progression… LOVE!

Special thanks to the owner and manager at kiddywampus for hosting the session.  See their Web-site HERE

    i heart faces week 8

This week’s theme is Hand’s on.  Have to say I think this is one of my favorite themes so far hands down ( i know, too funny…), got my creative juices going.  Here is a photo from one of my very favorite shoots back in the fall.  Hands on to love, life, and togetherness.

    • Aww, what a sweet photo 🙂

    • This is my favorite Hands on Fun picture that I’ve seen so far. I love the suitcase and the soft light behind them.

    Junker Family

Any stage a child goes through is truly amazing, but  one of my very favorite stages is from 9-18 months.  Babies are growing out of that very baby stage and transitioning into little toddlers with little personalities.  They are discovering the world around them and taking it all in.  Little Audrey is no exception, she is ready to strut her stuff and show off her independence…. when she gets that walking thing down. At 12 months, she was a smiling machine and had some of her own ideas in mind! I love hanging out with the Junkers, they are truly amazing people and parents.  I can not wait to watch this little one grow into this very loving family.

Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work in understanding what I wasn’t good at before understanding what I was good at. I failed a lot in the process.
.
We often only see the good things and success stories on social media, but getting to the point where we are confident in ourselves and our work takes time and lots of failures. Trust me. 25 years and still working at it!!
