Berning Family- Minneapolis family

They just love being together.  Weather it be watching a Twins game, snuggling or yard work, Elizabeth and Derek just want to be with their two beautiful and energetic boys, Levi and Jude.  I had the privilege of being around this family for an hour or so taking in Levi’s 2 year old energy and being completely absorbed in Jude’s bright blue eyes and smiles.  We walked around Maple Grove  and ended at Coldstone Creamery for ice cream, a family favorite.  It was a joy to be with your beautiful loving family, thank you again!

Bikes, kids, and laughter… minneapolis family

Every year I have the extreme privilege of working with 4 different families that started as one.  The Hoilien, Wurst and Daniel families all plan a family shoot while their parents are in town and this year was no different than the last few years; complete fun!  We decided to try for Minehaha Falls and Grandma rented a huuuge bike that the cousins had a blast on.  I look forward to many more years of watching this family grow together! Thanks again for letting me into your lives.

3 under 4 and 1 on the way: Rochester family

My sister came up to the Cities with a purpose, get the kids photographed before the next one is born.  How could I resist?  3 of my favorite little cute people (besides my own) were ready and (almost) willing to be photographed for their fall photos.  In the past we have just done family sessions with the rest of the big family gatherings, but this time was different!  We gathered up the kids (left mine at home) and headed downtown for some urban photos.  The kids did great despite the attack of the killer misquotes, and the heat.

I seriously do not know how my little sister does it.  She is a great mom and wife, and while thinking about another child almost makes me crazy, she is calm, collected, and put together.  We can not wait for the newest addition to arrive in October, and this time around they decided to wait on finding out the sex, and secretly wanting another girl.

Here are some of my favorites from our morning.  Love you all!

… was anyone interested in the session besides me and Claire…

      Jabbour family: Minneapolis Family

The joys of motherhood bring many mothers together.  I met Mandy and her sons at a mom’s group about 3 years ago.  It has been such a blessing to walk through the joyous moments together with children.  I am so thankful to share in lives of women going down the same walk of life with me; it is so encouraging.

Her family had a warm day for photos and the boys did wonderfully.  We met at their home and then her oldest showed me his favorite park where we finished up the session.  Here are a few from out day.

        Myers Family: Minneapolis Family

Jeremy and I go waaay back.  We actually met when I was in 6th grade.  His cousin and I became good friends, and he hung around us.  A lot.  Which was actually a very good thing, because he is now a very good friend!  I always love seeing his family, and this time was no different.  His little girl is the same age as Lydia, and is also very similar.  I got sung to and loved on by his entire family throughout the day.  Thanks Myer’s family!  Much love.

        • Love, love, LOVE the one of all of their hands!

Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work in understanding what I wasn’t good at before understanding what I was good at. I failed a lot in the process.

We often only see the good things and success stories on social media, but getting to the point where we are confident in ourselves and our work takes time and lots of failures. Trust me. 25 years and still working at it!!
